Born in 1966 in Andros.
1999-2005 He studied Painting and Printmaking at the School of Fine Arts in Bern, and Teaching of Art at the University of Bern. There, he had the opportunity to study the art of watercolor with the help of distinguished teachers.

In Switzerland, the tradition of watercolor was already highly developed from the 18th and 19th centuries; at first with alpine topography and then with Paul Klee and Louis Mollet.

George Saltaferos managed to perfection with mastery the watercolor painting. In his works he manages to combine the apparent levity with great accuracy of the painting composition.

His watercolors live between the prospectively deep penumbra and the striking color.

The artist searches his themes in abstract synthetic structures and in urban architecture. The light changes between day and night.

He lives and works in Athens.
