The ceramist Argiro Kosta arrived in Syros from Thessaloniki. She was impressed by the island and decided to settle permanently in it. In a small alley next to the port (street Vokopoulou) opened the "footprint" a store-workshop where she spends the most hours of the day making her pottery which is characterized by a very personal and recognizable style.

Despite being forced to make many pieces as the store has only her own things, she insists on making by hand one by one piece, and has not resorted to a more massive production solution (molds etc). So each project is unique indulge, a true work of art and not a cheap reprint of those that fill the souvenir shops.

She handles the clay with the method stoneware (processed at very high temperatures). She uses natural colours with a particular patina which is succeded through oxidation with onle natural oxides. The ceramic are painted by hand one by one.
Characteristic of her work is the bright colors (uses natural materials).

She is recognised as a local artist and her characteristical boats are found in many Syrian shops.
